Refund Policy

Short version
Full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Email hello@screenlock.app from the address you bought with.
How to request a refund
- Email hello@screenlock.app from the address you used at checkout.
- Include your Paddle order number (you'll find it in your purchase receipt email) or the email address on file.
- Optionally tell us why — we use it to improve the product, but it's not required.
We process refunds within 2 business days. Paddle then returns the funds to your original payment method, which typically takes another 3–5 business days depending on your bank or card network.
The 14-day window
The 14 days are counted from your purchase date. Requests submitted on day 15 or later are still considered, but are at our discretion rather than guaranteed.
Reasons we'll always refund within 14 days
- ScreenLock doesn't work as advertised on your Mac
- The app crashes or fails to launch
- You changed your mind
- You bought by accident
- It conflicts with another app you can't live without
- Any other reason — you don't need to explain
What we don't refund
- Purchases older than 14 days where the issue could have been raised earlier and wasn't (still ask — we may still refund at our discretion).
- Future major-version upgrades, if you decline the upgrade. (Major upgrades are optional; declining means you keep your current major version.)
Chargebacks
If you have any concern about your purchase, email us first — we'd much rather refund you directly than receive a chargeback. Direct refunds are faster for you and avoid bank dispute fees on our end.
Payment provider
Purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as the Merchant of Record. Refunds are issued through Paddle, who returns funds to your original payment method.
